The Naked Cup was founded in 2018 by Bob and Dada, following the successful sale of their beloved bakery. With a deep love for food, people, and community, they set out to create something new — a warm, welcoming neighborhood café where great coffee, yummy pastry, and meaningful connections could thrive.

Bob, a skilled baker and trained barista, brought his expertise and passion to every element of the café — from the perfectly pulled espresso to the flaky, house-baked pastries that quickly became local favorites. His dedication to craft is rooted in professional training grounded in classical French culinary methodology, an approach he shares with Chef Sergio, whom he met through their shared alma mater in hospitality and culinary arts.

In 2025, The Naked Cup entered a delicious new chapter through a partnership with Simply Foodelicious, the culinary concept led by Chef Sergio. With over 30 years of international culinary experience spanning Greece, Cyprus, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Toronto, Sergio brings a rich global perspective to every plate. His ingredient-driven philosophy and beautifully executed dishes reflect both his deep culinary training and his creative flair.
